BOOK NOW FOR THE CHRISTMAS CINEMA @ KATZPACE

OH YES! ON THE 3 SUNDAY AFTERNOONS BEFORE THE XMAS BREAK, AT 3 O’CLOCK, WE’LL BE SCREENING A FIRM YULETIDE FAVOURITE, ALONG WITH POPCORN & MULLED WINE… AND THE BAR WILL BE OPEN TOO!

FIRST, ON THE 3RD, IS ‘HOME ALONE’…

It’s Christmas time and the McCallister family are preparing for a vacation in Paris. The youngest in the family, Kevin, gets into a scuffle with his older brother Buzz and is sent to his room on the third floor of his house. The next morning, the family are in a rush to make it to the airport on time and completely forgot about Kevin. Being home alone is fun for Kevin… having a pizza all to himself, jumping on his parents’ bed, and generally making a mess. But then, Kevin discovers two burglars, Harry & Marv, about to rob his house on Christmas Eve. Kevin acts quickly by wiring his own house with makeshift booby traps to stop the burglars and to bring them to justice…

NEXT, ON THE 10TH, IT’S ‘DIE HARD’…

NYPD cop John McClane goes on a Yuletide visit to see his estranged wife Holly in Los Angeles, where she works for the Nakatomi Corporation. While at the Nakatomi headquarters for the annual Christmas party, a group of bank robbers, led by Hans Gruber, take control of the building, hold everyone hostage and plan to perform a lucrative heist. With the exception of John McClane. Unable to escape and with no immediate police response, John is forced to take matters into his own hands…

CLOSING, ON THE 17TH, WITH ‘THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS’…

Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween Town to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween. But alas, they can’t get it quite right…
